Wow, its crazy how long it has been since I've been on here. I really want to try and start keeping up with it again, we will see how it goes ;)

We have a lot going on these days, dont really know where to start...

I think everyone knows by now that we are expecting a little baby girl :) We are so excited and cannot wait to meet her soon. I am due on June 22nd so not too much longer. It was quite the surprise seeing that a month before we found out my doctor told me I wasn't ovulating, but I showed her :). My belly is huge and people are starting to comment, haha. It's usually something along the lines of "any day now" or "wow, you are very pregnant" as if I didn't know that haha. People are funny. Anyway, we couldn't be happier! I'm sure these next 7 weeks are going to fly by!

We are also in the process of buying our first house!! It's been very exciting and quite stressful at the same time. We close on June 3rd, so needless to say, June is going to be quite crazy. And we are going to try and fit a trip to Portland somewhere in there also. The house is about 20 minutes away from where we live now, further south on the island. It has a private community beach, pool, lake, and park so that should be fun. It's a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 1400 sq ft house... quite the upgrade from our 2 bedroom 1 bath 900 sq ft town house we are in right now :) we are so excited for all the extra room. We cannot wait to move in, I am going crazy not being able to put all the baby's things away. I want her room to be ready and organized and its driving me nutty! Hopefully we can close early and move in early!

Trae started a new job in March. He is still a mechanic on airplanes but he has changed to jets, and he loves it so far. The new squadron he is in seems to be so much better than the last and its so nice to see him happy and not stressed anymore! Hope it stays this way. He wont be deploying for the next 3 years so we are so so happy about that!! He will go out every once in a while but they usually only leave for about 2 weeks or so, sometimes shorter. Most of the time there are enough people that volunteer to go that hopefully he wont have to go too often.

We are both doing great and our pets are good :)

I will come back tomorrow and add pictures of my big belly for everyone that has been asking, and some of our new house :) Hopefully I can keep up on this from now on!!

I realize that we have lived here for 2 months, about time I show you some pics!!! Sorry its taken so long, you all know how I am :) I didn't post any pics of the bathroom because nothing matches right now. I am indecisive on the colors. We LOVE the SnOw!!!

I wasn't quite sure how Charlie and Cody would do in the snow, but they love it as much as we do! They just keep chasing each other around and wrestling in it even though it is as deep as their legs are tall! Which I guess isn't saying much haha. It snowed about another 4 inches last night and I am so excited. Trae says I act like a 4 year old when it snows because I get so giddy... I just love it!

Sorry I have been bad blogging lately, I'm trying to get better!
Trae came home on the 16th so we have just been enjoying spending time together and finishing up unpacking. We love our new house so much, I know, I know, you wanna see pics... I will get some up after thanksgiving. I am busy getting ready for Portland tomorrow :) So excited to see my family, wish we could all get together more! Were gonna miss you Toshya Craig and Kayla! Soo sad you cant make it this year! I am so glad Trae is back, it was a long 6 weeks, dont know how I am going to handle the 6 months come June, but we will worry about that when it comes!! Weekend with mom!

So I am all in the new house and let me tell you I LOVE IT!!! It is soooo nice. I couldn't be happier. Actually I will be when Trae is here(which is next sunday :) ) anyway, i will get pictures up here when it is all unpacked and not so scary!
So my sweet mother came up here on friday night (halloween) to help me clean out the old house on saturday. Thank you so much mom, couldnt have gotten it all done so quick without you! So we started saturday off with McDonalds breakfast :), went to walmart to get all the necessary cleaning products and such, went to our FAVE greek restaurant up here(sooo yum) then worked our butts off all day!!! We got soo much done, it was awesome. We ended the night with some yum food from applebees. Then on Sunday we went to play. I didnt want my mom to come up here just to clean! So we took a little tour of the island... with our trusty cameras of course :) Lots of pics! Enjoy! Oh and sorry some of these pics arent that great, some are taken through the car window!

Of course we had to stop and get some delish eggnog steamers

We then went on our way to Discovery Bay... online said there were cool things to see but the only thing there was a resort, but still pretty scenery!

Oh and this cute little cafe that had the BEST fish and chips we have ever had! Their clam chowder was awesome too!

So that was our weekend, super fun but too short! I wish we could do this more often!! I hope you enjoyed the weekend mom, minus the cleaning :)

So we are FINALLY moving to a nicer place. And when I say we I mean me. Well of course Trae is coming with but he is in sunny San Diego while I am stuck with the entire moving process alone. Funny story(not really): So a few weeks back Trae volunteers for this San Diego det for 6 weeks thinking we could really use the money. Which we could, but I kept telling him that we were going to get the ok to move as soon as he left. He kept saying, "Dont worry bout it babe, I'm sure they wont call till at least December". Haha, ya right, they literally called the morning after he left. Are you kidding me????? Did I call it or what. Ok so I go and pick out the new house that I wanted and all is good, until they come to do the pre-inspection. Turns out we have to replace the downstairs carpet in this house... $860 dollars for crappy carpet, great. So it is really good that he went on this deployment becuase he is making like $870 dollars extra for being down there, so i cant be too mad. But it still stinks because I have to pack up the entire house, move, and do the extensive cleaning list the landlords have given me. They call it a "white glove inspection", and i'm afraid they mean it :/ luckily we know a lot of strong friends that are more than willing to help. Still I have basically 8 days to get the rest of the house packed up. Oh, and they only give me 3 days to do the entire move, yes 3 days!!! So lets just say I am a little stressed, excited to get out of this crap shack, but stressed none the less!
Here is the layout of the new house. It is a ranch style home and I am way excited about that. I think we will really enjoy it. No more carrying laundry up and down the stairs :) And I wont have to yell at the dogs every 20 minutes to come downstairs :). Oh and it has a gas stove which I am super stoked about!

Count those closets!!! 7 + a pantry! Plus storage out back and a garage!
No more paying $50 a month for storage... awesome!!!
I chose an end unit at the end of a dead end street so we have green space to the
side of us and no street behind us, tons of green space back there too. So
I am way excited for all the room Char and Cody will have!

Time with friends...

These pics are from Ali's bachelorette party. We dressed her up to look like a goober and went to the local bowling alley. Sooo much fun! This was the last time us girls would be all together for a long time. Ali lives in Idaho right now but thankfully will be moving to Everrett sometime in January. But that is still a good 2 hour drive from me. And Amanda is moving to Louisianna on the 28th of this month :(. I am super sad about this because these two ladies have been some of my very best girl friends. Hopefully we will get to get together at least once a year. At least I wont have to go too far to see Ali. The worst thing about the navy to me, besides Trae having to go on deployments all the time, ( he is in San Diego right now) is making such good friends and having to say goodbye to them all the time. I hate it but I am so thankful these ladies came into my life and I am going to miss Amanda terribly!

So I realize that their wedding was on September 20th, but there were about 2,500 pictures to go through and edit. Me and my mother both took photos and I have gone through and picked out my favorites. Their wedding was at Canon Beach; one of the many beautiful beaches on the Oregon Coast. It was a really pretty wedding and I could not be happier for them. So I have to warn you there are a lot of pictures coming your way...Oh and they are out of order and I don't feel like going through and fixing it :)

Newest addition to the family!

We got a zoo going on in our house! 2 dogs... like 20 fish... and today we added a kitty!!! He is so cute! Only 6 weeks old. He is a Tabby Cat. Best part... he was free :) He is really playful and I cant wait to get to know his personality, I can already tell he is gonna be so much fun!
And we have no idea what to name him so please help... kinda want a C name :)

We LOVE going to the beach with the doggies and our freinds! We live so close and we really need to take advantage of it more often! Oak Harbor is so gorgeous and has so much to do outside so I hope it doesnt get too cold too quick so we can go down there more often. It is literally less than 5 minutes! First of all, Fall is my absolute favorite season. Love the brisk weather, the world around us changing, the beautiful colors, and the warm and cozy sweaters.

And I say Halloween is pretty much the best holiday ever!!

Cant wait to decorate my new house with lots of pumpkins!!!
Yes, I said new house!!! We finally got approved to move to the other base housing across town, much nicer, bigger, and newer... even with a fenced yard. We cannot wait. The date isn't certain yet but they say 2-3 months or quicker... I really hope its in time for Halloween! We have been trying to get out of this old house all year and finally they gave in :)
I am very excited to decorate and make this house our own... I'm already picking out paint colors...Thinking alot of Teal, maybe some Red... and maybe even some Yellow, we will see.
Sorry I dont have a pic but they dont have any houses for us to look at yet. As soon as I see them I will post pics.

My babies are so cute they won the cutest pet contest that their vet was holding. Cody won 1st place and Charlie won 3rd. :) They are going to be in the Navigator Newspaper on next friday... so cute! they both got a certificate and won $60 dollars, YAY!

We went shooting on Saturday. It was my first time and I was really scared but after the first shot I was addicted. It was surprisingly really fun. Trae bought a rifle, its a M-44, a 1945 WW2 rifle, its pretty neat but it almost knocked me out of the chair. Most of these pictures are me shooting our friends 22's.

I cant believe our baby is one today!!! It feels like we just brought him home last week! He is such a good dog and we are so blessed to have him! He has brought us so much happiness! We took him to the doggy park with Harley and the lucky dog is going to go get an ice cream cone from dairy queen later and he gets to pick out a toy... I know, i am sure you guys are laughing right now but he is our spoiled baby so get over it haha! We are getting another Doxi :). He was born on Feb 18th and will get to come home with us on April 13th. He is a chocolate and should be a true mini. both of his parents are 10 lbs so he should be right around there. he has the same dad as Charlie so they are half brothers :). We have no idea what we will name him so if you have any ideas please tell! Isnt he cute???

sorry... i have been slacking really bad! but not much has been going on lately. i just do the same thing every day for the most part. i clean house, i play with charlie, i wait for trae to email and call; he is doing really good by the way, i take charlie to the dog park, hang out with nadia while we let our babies play, and come home and go to sleep and do it all over again the next day. exciting right? well not really. i am enjoying myself though... we miss trae like crazy but we are trying to have a good time. it is so cold up here now, it happened all of a sudden. it is definitely fall... its so pretty though. the leaves are changing and i am getting so excited for halloween. i love fall, it is my favorite season... i love the cold crisp air, the gorgeous trees, the pumpkins... everything about it! i promise that i will try my hardest to update from now on... even if its just a new cute pic of my prince =]

So I am missing Trae alot these past few days. I dont know what it is but some days are better than others, its wierd. And before he left I figured I would never want to go to our house and stay there alone but its the only place I really want to be right now. Its wierd how things work out. I am going back to Portland on Wednesday and I am so excited to see Charlie... I miss him so much.
Well we haven't really been doing too much these last couple of days. We went up to the canyon for a little picnic and we have done a ton of shopping it seems but mostly we have just been hanging out and playing with Kayla. She has changed alot since I have been here even though its only been two weeks. She actually focuses on your face and smiles now... she is so adorable. Here are some pics of our little picnic. We had Gondalfo's sandwiches... they were so yummy!

Sorry it has been so long, I have been kinda busy. Trae left on August 16th for Qatar and he wont be coming back until the first week of December... its been pretty hard lately. I miss him so much, i cant even begin to explain how I feel. Its hard not knowing where he is or what he is doing all the time. He is 10 hours ahead of us so when we are sleeping he is awake and while were awake he is asleep... it stinks!! It is really hot over there too, the highest it has gotten is 140 degrees, tell me thats not crazy! I have no idea how he handles that kind of heat. He says half the time he doesnt even go to eat dinner just because it is too hot outside to walk to the galley!! But luckily his bedroom is air conditioned and so are the rest of the buildings. I talk to him a couple times a week and he seems to be doing good, as good as he can be I guess... He really misses home though. I am actually in Utah right now visiting my sister and my new niece and that is helping time go by a little faster, but i have to admit that I am getting quite homesick myself. I really miss my puppy Charlie too. My sister is watching him for me and makes fun of me for missing him so much but he is just mine and Traes baby... I know it sounds funny but we absolutely love and adore him. He is definitely the most spoiled dog ever but we are okay with that :) Well i am going to try and write a little every day so that when Trae gets home he will be able to see what I was up to and so that everyone else can know how he is doing... here are a few pics... I miss my boys!

We are just house training charlie so a lot of our time goes to that. We bought a really cool wide angle lens for my camera today, but it doesn't get here for a week :( I also got a new cool filter... ummm we are thinking about taking scuba diving lessons as soon as we find out when Trae is leaving. We are really excited about that! But other than all that we are just enjoying our time together and our time with Charlie! Summer is fun so get outside and enjoy it :)

Deception Pass Campout...

We went camping for the holiday with my family... We had so much fun! We love Deception Pass, it is so so so gorgeous. Wish we could have stayed longer though, we only got to stay 2 nights because Trae had to be back to work on Monday :(. But it was crazy driving down to the beach, it was only supposed to be four and a half hours away, but it ended up taking us 9 and a half hours to get there... dang Seattle traffic!! But its alright, it was totally worth it. We played a bunch on the beach and went into town and had yummy ice cream! Trae bought a fun new kite and we had a lot of fun with that. We also got to drive on Long Beach which is always fun. It was so good to see my family again, I miss being close to them so much, the kids are growing up too fast! Hope everyone had a good holiday! I know there are lots of pictures but there were so many fun ones that I couldn't leave out!

This is Charlie... the newest addition to our family. He is the cutest puppy and we just love him so much. He is so much fun to have around and we cant wait for everyone to come and meet him! He is a miniature daschund and he is 14 weeks old. We went to Seattle today... it wasn't too much fun there though because we couldn't find anywhere to park and the hills aren't very fun in our little car, But we did eat some good sushi(not as good as our homemade sushi though!) But we found a Bullwinkles in a town nearby and played miniature golf and the boys rode the go carts (i didnt want to because... well i just didnt feel like it actually) but anyway, sorry i am blabbering, but it turned out to be a really fun day! We went to dairy queen after also and it was yummy! caramel waffle cone blizzard... yum!

My hubby came home today and surprised me with some gorgeous flowers! I was completely shocked, it was for no reason at all. He just said I deserve them (how cute is that?) I absolutely love them, they are so so pretty! Then he took me out to Olive Garden (my fave) for dinner which was delicious as always. And after dinner we went and saw Evan Almighty, it was such a cute movie with a really good message so everyone go see it! So all in all it was a fabulous friday night... what did you do?

...Finally! We finally have a place to call our own... and it is so nice! We absolutely love whidbey island, and we absolutely love our town house! It is so spacious and cute, these pictures do not do it justice! Everyone will just have to come up and see it them selves. I will definitely post new pics when we get all put away, i just wanted to give you an idea of how cute it is :) we should be getting new furniture next week so we wont have to sit on our camping chairs anymore! hahaha, but its all good, we love it and we are just very excited to be living together again!!!

It has been too long since I have posted, sorry, we just barely got internet yesterday...So I spent my last day in Portland with my sister and her kids! we went to downtown Gresham and we had a lot of fun in the sun :) It was so so hot, but it was fun. Housing Update...

Trae and i looked at some apartments on friday and they are really cute. They are all 2 stories, they have 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, decent size kitchens and dining rooms, and big laundry rooms! We really like them. We go choose which one we want on monday! By the way, they do not come with a washer and dryer :( so if anyone knows of anyone trying to sell a set... we will definitely take them. so if you hear of anything PLEASE let us know! The one we are probably going to pick out just became vacant, they are going to put brand new carpet and paint in it so the manager said that the latest the apartment will be ready for us is 10 days... 10 DAYS!!! YAY. We are super excited!

Trae recieved his orders this morning :) we are so so so excited! He gets to go to the housing dept after class today and apply for a house for us! they said it should only take 1-2 weeks to get me up there {hopefully...you never know with them...}
We cant wait to live together again :)
His orders say that he will be in Whidbey Island for at least 2 years :) YAY YAY YAY

Military life as we know it....

*Sigh...*
I have tried really hard to keep positive but it seems to get harder every day. I know that there are people out there that have it much worse so I try really hard to keep positive and not complain... but its hard. We keep getting told that I will be able to move up to Whidbey Island as soon as Trae gets his orders, which is great except they keep telling us different days that he will get them. Initially he was supposed to get them last friday, that didnt happen, then he was supposed to get them this morning, he called at lunch and said that they havent come yet and now they are saying this friday. I am just sick of the false hope, I just wish they would go back to telling us nothing so we would stop getting so disapointed.
It has been four months now since we have lived together, I miss it so much...
But on a positive note:
We do know what his orders will say;
We will be stationed in Whidbey Island :) at least for 2 years.
He will be with Sqaudron VP40.
He will be working on the P-3 Orion aircraft.
He will be deployed every 18 months {so sad about this}
His deployments will be for six months to Quitar {over by saudi arabia}
So at this point we can say that we are not too happy with the military.
Although, like I said before, I shouldn't complain, many people have it worse and financially they take care of us pretty well {its the emotional factor they need to work on}

So Trae surprised me today with the camera lens I have wanted since I got my camera! He is so sweet! So... of course I had to go out and test it right away, I love it! It is a 70-300 mm zoom lens and you can see so far... here are some of the pics we just took with it... The plane you see is a P-3 Orion; its the plane Trae will be working on. And yes, that is a bald eagle (cool huh?) *enjoy*

I know it's wednesday already... I've been slackin :) This weekend was so much fun! On friday night we went and saw Spiderman 3 (it was really good!) And on Saturday we went on a tour of the island... it was so much fun! We went to all the touristy towns and did some shopping and played on the beach, we had lunch at this really yummy cafe and then we went on a boat tour of Deception Pass... it was gorgeous! So it turned out to be a very fun and eventful weekend, i cant wait to live up there permanently so we can do stuff like this all the time! Oh and next weekend we are going to seattle to see the Mariners and Yankees play!!!! Soooo excited for that, i've never been to a real baseball game so watch for pics of that next week!
