Downtown Gresham...

It has been too long since I have posted, sorry, we just barely got internet yesterday...So I spent my last day in Portland with my sister and her kids! we went to downtown Gresham and we had a lot of fun in the sun :) It was so so hot, but it was fun. I miss them so much already! I thought I would just share a few of my favorite pics from the day, I know there are a lot here, but I couldn't choose, there were a lot of cute ones :)

MoViNg SoOn!!!

Our apartment will be available to move in on June 1st. YAY. Thats next friday... so so so excited. It will be Trae and I's first place together, we have been married for almost a year and have never had our own place... we cant wait!

There is a ToWn HoUsE in our near future!!!

We chose our town house today... it should be available this weekend, but at the latest it will be 10 business days from now :) yay yay yay! I will post pics soon...

Housing Update...

Trae and i looked at some apartments on friday and they are really cute. They are all 2 stories, they have 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, decent size kitchens and dining rooms, and big laundry rooms! We really like them. We go choose which one we want on monday! By the way, they do not come with a washer and dryer :( so if anyone knows of anyone trying to sell a set... we will definitely take them. so if you hear of anything PLEASE let us know! The one we are probably going to pick out just became vacant, they are going to put brand new carpet and paint in it so the manager said that the latest the apartment will be ready for us is 10 days... 10 DAYS!!! YAY. We are super excited!

yay... HaPPy DaY!!

Trae recieved his orders this morning :) we are so so so excited! He gets to go to the housing dept after class today and apply for a house for us! they said it should only take 1-2 weeks to get me up there {hopefully...you never know with them...}
We cant wait to live together again :)
His orders say that he will be in Whidbey Island for at least 2 years :) YAY YAY YAY
we are also thinking about getting a brittany spaniel puppy {so cute}

Military life as we know it....

{Not so good right now}
*Sigh...*
I have tried really hard to keep positive but it seems to get harder every day. I know that there are people out there that have it much worse so I try really hard to keep positive and not complain... but its hard. We keep getting told that I will be able to move up to Whidbey Island as soon as Trae gets his orders, which is great except they keep telling us different days that he will get them. Initially he was supposed to get them last friday, that didnt happen, then he was supposed to get them this morning, he called at lunch and said that they havent come yet and now they are saying this friday. I am just sick of the false hope, I just wish they would go back to telling us nothing so we would stop getting so disapointed.
It has been four months now since we have lived together, I miss it so much...
But on a positive note:
We do know what his orders will say;
We will be stationed in Whidbey Island :) at least for 2 years.
He will be with Sqaudron VP40.
He will be working on the P-3 Orion aircraft.
He will be deployed every 18 months {so sad about this}
His deployments will be for six months to Quitar {over by saudi arabia}
So at this point we can say that we are not too happy with the military.
Although, like I said before, I shouldn't complain, many people have it worse and financially they take care of us pretty well {its the emotional factor they need to work on}
